Yeah, he was out. It was extremely lucky to have the ball bounce back to Bard though, so I guess it evens it out.
In comes The Claw.
Yes, but I’m sick of the “Josh gets a bad rap” argument. Bard has absolutely NO ARM. He takes about 20 minutes to get rid of the ball, and can’t throw anyone out at third! I refuse to believe that the problem is every single pitcher on the padres (including fireballers like Bell and Tomko) are slow to the plate.
#103: There isn’t a catcher alive that would throw out even 15-20% of base stealers with this staff.
Stupid Silent L.
Milwaukee’s defense is contagious.
That was an absolutely perfect double play ball if Blum can just make the play. Way to go, Silent L.
What the hell is going on – it’s 1st/3rd and suddenly it’s bases loaded and the Brewers scored.
And now we are falling to pieces. Go Snakes.
Is it too late to un-start Tomko?
It’s hard cheering for the Snakes when they run out their reserves. Frickin Melvin. You and Grady Little can go to you know where.
111 – I saw that lineup. What an embarrassment.
110: How about putting Marcus Giles in at second base before that inning? That would have ended the inning with us still up 4-3, most likely.
Yeah, we just had to make the double switch with Barrett. Blum made the last out. Since Barrett’s in, we are destined to lose this game now
113: How about getting Tomko out of there after the troublesome 4th inning?
All under the bridge now. Good job by Kevin Cameron.
Let’s get the kid a win, Padres.
And get NOG in there for defense.
That was a nightmarish inning.
Barrett has .400 ave against Suppan.
The Diamondbacks have 12 at bats and 9 strikeouts. Just a bad, bad hitting team.
118, Look at their lineup. Drew and Reynolds are their only regulars out there. They even started Petit over Davis!
Wegner just hooked us on that call.
That was a terrible call.
When you’re getting rung up on pitches like that, it’s not your day.
We shoud be into their pen in the 7th if that helps.
Only 9 more outs……
I’m so depressed right now. They’re gonna blow this after being one effing strike away. ONE STRIKE!!! with Trevor pitching!!!
This game is not over. Black needs to get Cameron right now. He can’t be walking this game out of reach.
Why is Cameron still in???
They need to get this out and then hit. C’mon Padres!!! Lets do this!
Barrett is a terrible catcher in his pitch calling/framing. I’m not sure if it’s because he’s unfamiliar with Kevin Cameron’s stuff or Kevin is just not confidence in his pitches. Hard to think that Bard wouldn’t have done a better job with a rookie pitcher.
I never thought I’d say this but go diamondbacks
Man, is he getting the squeeze in the strike zone?
That looks like a strike.
Loaded.
this is getting so hard to watch
Is Cameron still in?
The Mets game is a final. They’re done. Now we need the Diamondbacks to do something.
I hate sports
Go Diamondbacks.
Ouch. And why double switch Sledge for clutch home run hitting Hairston?
I can’t believe this is happening. Tired of this crap. I’m already cushioning my mood for a loss.
The ump absolutely refuses to give us the four inches off the outside corner he’s giving to Suppan on a regular basis.
I’ve got things I gotta get done…
See you guys in Denver tomorrow!
“f word”
Baseball…….when I got done surfing this morning I got back to my truck and turned 1090 on. Teddy said we had batted around in the first inning and I thought, “Wow. We are kicking the bleep out of them.” Then I heard it was only 3-0. Now it’s 9-4
Phillies won NL East.
Arizona is doing squat right now and so is the Rockies.
i like how we look like we already gave up. khalil and adrian looked horrible just now
Enter Germano. I guess the strategy now is to save the best relievers for a game at Coors tomorrow. Sigh…
1-0 Rockies, runner on third, two outs, Wickman pitching to Spilborghs.
rockies up 1-0
And the Rockies take a 1-0 lead on Hawpe’s double…
looks like coors field tomorrow, their bullpen has been tough
