  1. 533: Matty and Mud are funny. I like them when I get a chance to watch.

  2. #534@Richard: That’s below the belt.

  3. #547@Richard: This game is old enough to drink.

  4. #546@Kevin: I’m tired. I only got like four hours of sleep last night.

  5. I’m still watching… and it’s an hour later here.

  6. You guys are killing me. What a crazy game.

  7. #548@Kevin: At this point, I’m considering taking up drinking.

  8. It’s funny to think that the concessions stopped selling alcohol 14 innings ago. They also have not showed those poor kids waiting to clean up the stadium in a while. They have probably seen 10 innings of baseball tonight while they were waiting to do their jobs.

  9. 21st will be the last tonight. They can’t start an inning after 12:59AM

  10. Ducksnort reference. Drink!

  11. so. im on the east coast. and i paused my tivo and went to a midnight movie and came back and watched every pitch…and i officially just caugt up live with my tivo. crazy. go pads.

  12. 549: Are you making this into a habit? No, not the hair coverings for nuns.

Damn you, little blooper beyond Tadahito.
Obsession, what a ruinuous thought you are!

  13. #555@Tim: This is no American League game.

    #557@aaron: That is awesome

  14. #555@Tim: what’re you talking about. it’s 3:59.

  15. I was at a 20-inning game at the Murph that didn’t end well …

… so, in some way, I’m happy to be past the 20th … lucky 21? Let’s DO it!

#538@Krs1: Nominate this for post of the night … but mainly because I don’t want anybody to notice/read #263 …

  16. #550@Johnny Utah: You’re about two hours late – both in bringing up your time zone AND literally two hours behind us east coast troopers.

  17. Did Holliday touch first? (or has that already been done?)

  18. I hope my boss understands when I call in “tired” tomorrow morning…

  19. That was first time since Torrealba’s at-bat earlier (I can’t remember when) that a Rockie complained about a ball-strike call. In Holliday’s case, it probably was low.

I was just looking at Holliday’s home-road splits in his career. At home his OPS is 1088, which is only behind the career marks of Babe Ruth and Ted Williams. On the road it’s 782 — or the same as Marcus Giles.

  20. Hawpe joins the 0-for-8 club.

  21. Get up and stretch! Again…

  22. 557: Wow, that’s amazing. Are you running out of space on the TiVo?

21st inning stretch! Wow, three stretches in a game.

  23. Okay, I’m using the 3rd 7th inning stretch to finally get up and grab my rally cap.

    It WILL make a difference.

  24. #567@Schlom: Little known fact: Coors is a big-time hitters’ park.

  25. Rusch’s ERA now under 10 … woo!

  26. #562@LynchMob:
    Hahaha!

I keep contemplating going down to Petco. i only live maybe a mile and a half but I just never expected it would go this long. I wonder if they would let me in.

  27. think we’ll catch anyone waking up for the day in this IGD?

  28. All I wanted to do was to check the boxscore of a Padres win.
Now, I got nothing. I’m beat, and I haven’t done squat.

  29. 575: You should do it. It’s probably been open for a few innings now.
Of course, now, you don’t want to miss the winning hit.

  30. 570. yeah. im out of space on the tivo. the mlb package allows for six hour blocks, and this game just passed that on directv. so now i am watching “upcoming royals vs. a’s” which is pretty cool i guess. anyone know whats up with the goat head in the dugout?

  31. OK, what are rules on making this a suspended game in SD?

  32. #578@Didi: no, he should stay here with us and try to top #538

  33. hey! TClark gets off the schneid!

  34. Radio guys are talking about Jerry Coleman waking up to this game still going.

OK, I guess Clark took that pill, KRS1.

  35. Wow. That sucked. Useless rally cap.

  36. I think I’m going to need to crash. Can this possibly end well with Rusch being stuck on the mound for the remainder?

  37. #583@Didi: Coleman was asleep? That’s fantastic.

  38. And, Edmonds’ pill hasn’t kicked in yet.
Good thing, it’ll last up to 4 hours before they have to call the doctor.

    581: LOL.

  39. #572@Richard: Of course but I wonder how many people know what a Coors Field illusion Holliday is? He was actually decent on the road last year but overall he’s at best a league average hitting LF on the road (although of course he doesn’t get to hit at Coors Field so his road stats are a little worse then they appear).

Helton’s even better at home, 1129 but not quite as bad on the road, 883. It’s amazing to think that Tony Gwynn won those batting titles from 1994-1997 over Larry Walker and the other Rockies. Just amazing considering they could actually hit for average and got at least a 25 point boost.

  40. #585@Krs1: I’m thinking no.

  41. I find it mildly amusing that ESPN gamecase ran out of room 3 innings ago

  42. Craig Ferguson as Prince Charles is the most disturbing looking creature ever on late night TV. He’s so funny.

  43. weisbarth is so drunk

  44. I guess this game has dictated when Morton will get his first start behind the plate.

  45. #588@Schlom: Even when adjusted for park, I think his numbers are still pretty good, aren’t they?
