  1. 49 – not that there’s anything wrong with that :) The baggy baseball pants vs. stirrups/socks is a pet peeve of mine. I like the old school look.

  2. Looks like this will probably be Boomer’s last inning.

  3. Just got back from the beach. Head high sets and glad to see Boomer not no-hitting us. Speaking of Boomer I saw/talked with him 3 weeks b4 he signed in the offseason. He was down at Sunset Cliffs with a huge 400 mm lens taking pics of surfers. I asked him if he was coming back and he said, ” I LOVE SD – I’m comin back”. Good guy but I hope he lose tonight. Go fricken Pads!!!

  4. #53: Does he still live in Point Loma?

  5. Well at least Cammy knows how to lead a moving target when he’s shooting a missle.

  6. Awful throw by Cameron. Absolutely awful. There’s no way Kent should have scored.

  7. Easy to second guess here, but am I the only one who thought Cassel was done LAST inning?

  8. 57: It’s not Cassel’s fault. With a guy that gives up balls in play, you’ve got to be solid on defense. Blum and Cameron have made critical mistakes tonite that have cost us two runs.

  9. I’m watching the game, I get that. I’m just saying the guy gave you five innings, gave up some louds outs, didn’t get any help. You pinch-hit for him (to leadoff an inning, at that) and get to your pen.

  10. 58 – yeah, Cassel is a lot like CY and before him, Brian Lawrence, in that the other team will put the ball into play. defensive mistakes will get amplified.

1 – you were good, barely, if you took the over :)

  11. #54 : I didn’t ask but I think he does. When I saw him I just thought, “oh yeah — he lives around here/went to school……– pretty cool”. I like the guy but in Feb 2007 he was about 100 lbs. overweight and I was AMAZED he could pitch at the Major League level. Go padres!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. 57 – I thought he was doing well enough that sending him out for the 6th was a good move.

  13. 62: Yep, they didn’t really hit anything hard off him either.

  14. Kemp F-8 in the first, Kent’s double. Wells’ fly ball in the second. Furcal’s fly ball in the third. Maybe not crushed, but hit hard.

  15. 64: I was referring to the sixth. Sorry.

  16. Random…….Early in the ’80′s I asked Reggie Jackson for an autograph at Angel Stadium and he told me to
    “Shut Up Kid!”.
    I was 9 years old!!!!!!!!!

  17. 59 – agreed that Cassel should have been PH for after 5.

  18. awesome – Adrain scored! crap – Kouz got nailed.

Bard’s BA w/ RISP continues to amaze

  19. Bard is simply amazing with RISP. Amazing.

  20. Hensley must be pouting tonight in Portland. 7 runs, 6 earned so far through 5.

  21. Man we have hit some hard balls tonight and have nothing to show for them.

  22. 71: Yep. Khalil has just missed a HR and a double. Cameron, Adrian, and Blum are wearing out the corner IFs.

  23. 71: Yep. Khalil has just missed a HR and a double. Cameron, Adrian, and Blum are wearing out the corner IFs.

  24. Walks. That’s what we need more of. Nice work Cameron.

  25. What’s the poll results on “mentioning of Tom Brady’s illegitimate child” by Matt and T Gwynn? Love the guy BUT kids are way more important than banging hot chicks. Take care of your kids or they will become Ryan Leaf, or worse Pac Man Jones or????suggestions???

Back to the game…..we can do this………

    Go Padreees.

  26. Well done Milton

  27. Nice work Bradley. Seriously, pick up of the year. That man is SOOOO important to the Padres right now.

  28. 75 – Omar, I should have taken that prop off the board as soon as I learned TGwynn was announcing. Mud is much more likely to prattle on about stuff like that; Tony is all business.

There have been two mentions of Tom Brady so far…

  29. 78 – speed kills :)

  30. A rare misplay by Gonzo – he might have to ditch the high socks…

  31. hey i’m your #1 fan . Khalil greene your cool and i’m 8 year’s old. My dad is letting typing

  32. # 79 : Stu…….No worries about taking off the post……I just looked at the first post and found it interesting. Mud would definitely bring it up more than TGwynn the PRO but like you said it’s been mentioned twice without him. Good job!!!

  33. 6-3………..I’ll take 10-3………………Screw the Dod-Gers

  34. Rockies tied up the Snakes. 3-all, bottom 9, AZ hitting…

  35. Matty is talking about tomorrow’s September callups…mentioned Brady Clark, which is not surprising.

  36. C’mon Rox! Keep it going!

  37. 86 – and Bryan Myrow, a left-handed-hitting infielder.

  38. Brian Myrow is the other. Good for him.

  39. #82: You type better than your Dad! LOL Very cool and welcome to Ducksnorts!

  40. 82: Khalil Greene is cool: 37 doubles with a month left

  41. Used to be I’d give a sigh of relief when Trever comes in. But lately, I get a little nervous not knowing what kind of night he is going to have.

  42. Rockies lead off the 10th with a *triple*…

  43. …and the runner scores, 4-3 Rox!

  44. #92: Thankfully a good one. Thanks Trevor.

  45. sweet. pick up a game on the Dodgers, the bats stay hot, and hopefully knock the Snakes a game back. a good night all around.
