  1. Bradley certainly has the potential to be a great player, and he frequently teases with amazing but brief displays of his talent; however, at 29, going on 30, with only one season of close to full time productivity under his belt and a verifiable track record of being an unstable personality, it would be foolish to sign him to anything more than a one year contract, imo. And, in all honesty, I’d prefer to let some other team take the risk.

  2. This is so frustrating. Two big plays, games on inches. Young snagging Cameron’s fly, or, having that fly just hang a tiny bit too long. Then KG missing the DP ball. Hot smash, but he makes that play 39 times out of 40. 6-7 run swing on those two plays.

I have said it before, but I HATE THE DBACKS.

    I hate their announcers.

I hate their ridiculous good fortune. They are 8.6 games over their third order expected wins. Statistically, you would expect them to be 8 under, but they are leading the division. Not a fan of their unis, though does not go as far as hate. The only good thing about them is their GM went to my college, but, right now, I hate him too.

I hate Joe Sheehan plugging them, despite their third order wins, and having him look like a genius (he is a good writer, albeit a steroid apologist), and me, eyeing their crappy third order wins, thinking, “Joe’s got this one wrong.”

    I hate these statistics:

    Padres: 312 AB, 751 OPS, 40 Runs
    DBags: 309 AB, 716 OPS, 43 Runs

This does not include tonight’s game. So, we have outhit them by a wide margin but scored 3 fewer runs. OK, but, then 3 run differential suggests we should be about .500 with them, not 3-6 (again before tonight, so now 3-7). We ought to be 6-4 or 7-3 against them, but, instead, it is reversed. They are like the Giants last year. We had a outhit them 703 vs 685 but went 6-13 against them.

HATE THEM. OK, not real hate, but, you know, baseball hate.

    Aaarrgggghhhh!!!!

  3. 52- If we fall short regarding expected runs (not that you said exactly that) it is likely due to the multitude of dismal OBA guys in our lineup. Seriously, how often do you see a lineup so stocked with guys around or below the .300 OBA mark?!??!

  4. I miss Geoff, he would be able to put this all into a decent perspective. That game sucked until the bottom on the 9th, then it sucked again.
