I’m still out of town, probably staring at the ocean or something. Maybe I’m drinking a beer or rummaging through used bookstores. Who can say?
Go Tigers.

Go Tigers? As a Padres fan, I almost feel duty-bound to root for the NL team here. The AL has dominated in All Star games and the World Series. The last four NL World Series victories were Marlins in ‘03, Diamondbacks in ‘01, Marlins in ‘97 and Braves in ‘95… Giving the NL some bragging rights seems important to me.

Peter I agree with you and if it was the mets in the series I would being rooting on the NL but 96, 05, and 06 make it so I cant root for the cards.

Besides, wouldn’t it make it a little less painful to know the Pad’s were beaten by the eventual WS winners? OK, maybe not, but it was worth a shot!

Nah, go Tigers! It makes for a better story. Besides, I can’t stand LaRussa. On the other hand, I don’t want Kenny Rogers to get a ring either. Maybe, they’ll end up in a tie where there is no more pitchers available to either team in the 27th inning of Game 7.

Tigers are again doing a good job of making the Cardinals’ starting pitcher’s job easy. Carpenter at 48 pitches through 5.
