The Padres need to get their arse in gear and get a catcher they feel comfortable with giving a start to every 4 to 5 days. Bard is a 400 PA guy (and a good one at that) but I believe will not hold up to a 140 start season.
After a small sample size
some two weeks ago (maybe less) -I was more than ambivalent about the Padres using a roster spot at AAA for Jody Gerut. But the guy is absolutely red hot right now and if he has a good May probably will secure himself a 100 at bats or so at the Major L. level –
Bold Prediction (perhaps ill advised) – Josh Geer will have a better major league career than M. LeBlanc.
