  1. I like our chances against Marquis better than I did against Zambrano. Let’s Go Padres!

  2. GY, as always I enjoy the pre-IGD write-ups you do. I read through all of the posts and it seems the closer we get to the draft and the trade dead-line, the more long winded they become.
If I had more time in my day, I would probably devote more of it towards speculation. However, I don’t and resign myself to what may happen is what it is.

  3. #1@Pat: Zambrano is an animal. They got of lucky with him.

  4. Well, go get em Padres!!!!

  5. Unleash the offense!!!!! Go go get em boys!!!!! In LA again but with a quick internet speed so hopefully I’ll be able to mlbTV it. This town is going crazy with Laker flags on phat Escalades. Let’s go Padres…..Let’s go.

  6. Mike Cameron sent Randy Johnson into the record books with his strikeout tonight. I don’t miss those K’s, yet see them often on my current Padre team. Maybe Mike rubbed off on us?

    Love for everybody.

  7. #5@Oside Jon: Jon, not sure how I lived w/out MLB.TV up until now. I’ve been watching some of the Brewers v. DBacks game. This is the greatest thing since sliced bread! Does NFL.COM also have the same thing?

  8. #7@Turbine Dude:
No idea if NFL.COM has the same thing. I hope they do. WHy not? The technology is there. It’s great to watch whatever game is going on at the time. If only cable TV was like this. All of TV should be on demand. Whatever you want you can get. This is 2008……

Getting the SD channel 4 audio on mlbtv instead of the Cubbies feed. Diggin it.

  9. #8@Oside Jon: If you want the NFL all access pass for the season, buy it now. It’s $100. If you wait for the season to begin, it’s $280. But, they have it! I’m gonna buy it.

  10. Brewers are beating up the DBacks in the top of the 9th 7-1. Nice…

  11. Brewers just won.

  12. Great Job Greenie!

  13. 3 in the bag for Will.

  14. OMG, our pitcher drew a walk? Wow.

  15. Marquis balks. Nice.

  16. Well, what will Tadahito do?

  17. Soriano is mister casual out there.

  18. nice tag on soriano by the pitcher

  19. I like OG’s patience here.

  20. The throw went to third, I thought Gerut would go to second.

  21. Holy Moly! That throw to 1st sucked. Thank God!

  22. Let’s go AGone!!! Light ‘em up!

  23. I’m suprised Lou P. hasn’t popped a blood vessel by now.

Way to go AGone!!!!!!!!!!!! Super Adrian!!!!!!!!

  24. AGON AGAIN!!!!!

  25. 2-0 into the 4th. Lets hold them Will.

  26. 2 runs is good with me.

When was the last time we had an RBI leader?

  27. I feel a Wil Ledezma implosion coming on…..

  28. #26@Oside Jon: Sheffield or Mc Griff?

  29. No, let’s give them 2 immediate baserunners, including one on a 4 pitch walk.

  30. Will the thrill, aims to please.

  31. #26@Oside Jon: Dave Winfield in 1979 (118) was the only Padre to ever lead the league in RBI for the season. I don’t know how to look for the last time a Padre led the league on any particular day within the season but I’d bet someone like Caminiti held a lead at some point in the 90s.

  32. Michael, that is not how you get in good with the umpire.

  33. Tough night on the ump.

  34. #33@Jeff: He’s one of the best plate umps in the MLB. Lucky Joe West isn’t in for this series.

  35. I think Ledezma is holding his own pretty well against a team like the Cubs tonight.

  36. Will’s pitching well and it’s a good thing we’re in PETCO.

  37. Well, at least he limited the damage and protected the lead. Nothing takes the wind out of your sails like allowing runs right after you scored some.

  38. I love Lou, He is great to watch.

  39. Very good, Barrett moves Pmac over, and Greene drives him in.

  40. At least Greene didn’t hit into a DP and got a RBI on the board.

What are the rules on that? (Ledezma play)

  41. It is nice to see the lead off walk score after last night.

  42. #38@Jeff: But he is class-less. Foul mouthed old man. And damn grouchy.

  43. #40@Turbine Dude: Double strike, two stroke penalty.

  44. You should read the Cubs blogs. There is certainly no love lost for Jason Marquis.

  45. #43@Field39: As long as he doesn’t have to go into the rough to look for the ball…

  46. #42@Turbine Dude: You’re right, but he isn’t our manager and I don’t have to listen to him.

  47. Well played by Ledezma.

  48. #47@Jeff: That was good ‘heads up’ ball by Will.

  49. Barrett is showing some fortitude behind the plate as well.

  50. This could be the at bat of the game.
