1: Like all great satire, it’s only 5% removed from reality.
Can we get Baker back in the NL West?
March 10, 2008 at 6:56 pm
didn’t even know the game was televised tonight. Thanks GY.

IN GAME DISCUSSION!!! Man, I’ve missed these.
March 10, 2008 at 7:11 pm
Nice dig by Matty V. on ex-Padre Ramon Vazquez.
March 10, 2008 at 7:25 pm
Ditto, Phantom! Good to see some familiar names.
March 10, 2008 at 7:27 pm
Nice diving catch by Hairston in center.
March 10, 2008 at 7:27 pm
Nice catch by Hairston.

7 & 8: Even better Philly Billy impression
March 10, 2008 at 7:29 pm
Geoff, I just purchased the 2008 Annual. Still waiting for the UPS guy to show up. Maybe I can get you to sign this one also.
March 10, 2008 at 7:30 pm
10: It’s quite good. I’m easily half way through it already, and I barely feel like I’ve been reading it for that long. Great read and wonderful analysis.
March 10, 2008 at 7:30 pm
Yeah, I was laughing at that one too, Phantom.
March 10, 2008 at 7:31 pm
#9: Yeah, that was solid.
#10: Coolness. Welcome back!
March 10, 2008 at 7:32 pm
11: If it’s half as good as the 2007 edition It’ll be great.
March 10, 2008 at 7:38 pm
I gotta say, Justin’s looking pretty good.
March 10, 2008 at 7:41 pm
3 IP, 1 H for Germano. Not bad at all.
March 10, 2008 at 7:51 pm
A run without a hit. Awesome.
March 10, 2008 at 7:56 pm
Great. Another CF goes down. Hopefully this is purely precautionary.
March 10, 2008 at 7:57 pm
Beautiful outing by Germano. Let’s see him do that the fifth time he sees someone.

#10: Because I know Geoff will never tell this story, I will. This morning in Peoria, I noticed a fan nearby pulling the 08 Ducksnorts Annual out of a backpack. I convinced Geoff to introduce himself, and it turned out that the guy had flown in all the way from Maryland. He and his buddy had Geoff sign their book, and we all talked Padre baseball for a bit, while watching minor league pitchers and catchers in drills.
March 10, 2008 at 8:03 pm
20: That’s a great story. Congrats Geoff!
March 10, 2008 at 8:13 pm
#20: That’s cool. Geoff signed my 2007 book in the parking lot of Applebee’s in Kearny Mesa (LOL).
March 10, 2008 at 8:15 pm
Geoff, maybe I can hook up with you at the Dodger game on 4/4 (Friday night) and you can sign my 08 book

Damn, that hurt just watching it.
March 10, 2008 at 8:28 pm
God I hope he’s OK. Even if I don’t think he’s the best candidate for the fifth spot, I really don’t want him to be hurt. I feel terrible for the guy.
March 10, 2008 at 8:32 pm
They need to end this game, while everyone is still walking.
March 10, 2008 at 8:36 pm
That was so unlike Adrian.
March 10, 2008 at 8:36 pm
Wow. Really impressed by Michael Barrett, he just completely cleaned himself as of the stigma he head coming over from Chicago.
March 10, 2008 at 8:41 pm
28. If he keeps hitting like he is afraid of first base, the rest won’t matter.
March 10, 2008 at 8:42 pm
#20: That was cool. First time I’ve ever seen someone I don’t personally know with a copy of the book.
I heard Matt mention Fox & Hound. Heh, good times…
March 10, 2008 at 8:56 pm
I guess Trevor is due up in the 8th.
March 10, 2008 at 9:12 pm
I don’t think Trevor has seen a barber since last season.
March 10, 2008 at 9:17 pm
18 … who went down? what happened? remember, many of us “here” (ie. @ Ducksnorts.com) are not “there” (ie. watching TV) … it’s still early in spring training for you IGD’ers, too, I s’pose
March 10, 2008 at 9:19 pm
20 … nice morning, Lance … glad to hear you made it to Monday morning
I’m back in Oregon (it’s raining, I’m already missing the AZ sunshine … man, that was *great*!) …
Who’s going out there next weekend? We need on-the-scene reporting each weekend
March 10, 2008 at 9:39 pm
Well, see you all the next televised game.
March 10, 2008 at 9:39 pm
#30: The Fox and Hound… I’m pretty sure that place is of little use to those who remain in Peoria, as I consumed all of the beer and liquor that they had.
March 10, 2008 at 9:44 pm
Geoff, I suppose you heard that your alma mater took down the Zags tonight to win the WCC basketball title.
March 10, 2008 at 9:49 pm
#33: Hairston got plunked early and later was removed. Not sure of his status.
#37: Yeah, that is pretty awesome, if a bit unexpected.
