  1. This is so funny from Baseball Musings:

  2. 1: Like all great satire, it’s only 5% removed from reality.

Can we get Baker back in the NL West?

  3. didn’t even know the game was televised tonight. Thanks GY.

  4. IN GAME DISCUSSION!!! Man, I’ve missed these.

  5. Nice dig by Matty V. on ex-Padre Ramon Vazquez.

  6. Ditto, Phantom! Good to see some familiar names.

  7. Nice diving catch by Hairston in center.

  8. Nice catch by Hairston.

  9. 7 & 8: Even better Philly Billy impression

  10. Geoff, I just purchased the 2008 Annual. Still waiting for the UPS guy to show up. Maybe I can get you to sign this one also.

  11. 10: It’s quite good. I’m easily half way through it already, and I barely feel like I’ve been reading it for that long. Great read and wonderful analysis.

  12. Yeah, I was laughing at that one too, Phantom.

  13. #9: Yeah, that was solid.

    #10: Coolness. Welcome back!

  14. 11: If it’s half as good as the 2007 edition It’ll be great.

  15. I gotta say, Justin’s looking pretty good.

  16. 3 IP, 1 H for Germano. Not bad at all.

  17. A run without a hit. Awesome.

  18. Great. Another CF goes down. Hopefully this is purely precautionary.

  19. Beautiful outing by Germano. Let’s see him do that the fifth time he sees someone.

  20. #10: Because I know Geoff will never tell this story, I will. This morning in Peoria, I noticed a fan nearby pulling the 08 Ducksnorts Annual out of a backpack. I convinced Geoff to introduce himself, and it turned out that the guy had flown in all the way from Maryland. He and his buddy had Geoff sign their book, and we all talked Padre baseball for a bit, while watching minor league pitchers and catchers in drills.

  21. 20: That’s a great story. Congrats Geoff!

  22. #20: That’s cool. Geoff signed my 2007 book in the parking lot of Applebee’s in Kearny Mesa (LOL).

  23. Geoff, maybe I can hook up with you at the Dodger game on 4/4 (Friday night) and you can sign my 08 book

  24. Damn, that hurt just watching it.

  25. God I hope he’s OK. Even if I don’t think he’s the best candidate for the fifth spot, I really don’t want him to be hurt. I feel terrible for the guy.

  26. They need to end this game, while everyone is still walking.

  27. That was so unlike Adrian.

  28. Wow. Really impressed by Michael Barrett, he just completely cleaned himself as of the stigma he head coming over from Chicago.

  29. 28. If he keeps hitting like he is afraid of first base, the rest won’t matter.

  30. #20: That was cool. First time I’ve ever seen someone I don’t personally know with a copy of the book.

I heard Matt mention Fox & Hound. Heh, good times…

  31. I guess Trevor is due up in the 8th.

  32. I don’t think Trevor has seen a barber since last season.

  33. 18 … who went down? what happened? remember, many of us “here” (ie. @ Ducksnorts.com) are not “there” (ie. watching TV) … it’s still early in spring training for you IGD’ers, too, I s’pose :-)

  34. 20 … nice morning, Lance … glad to hear you made it to Monday morning :-) I’m back in Oregon (it’s raining, I’m already missing the AZ sunshine … man, that was *great*!) …

Who’s going out there next weekend? We need on-the-scene reporting each weekend :-)

  35. Well, see you all the next televised game.

  36. #30: The Fox and Hound… I’m pretty sure that place is of little use to those who remain in Peoria, as I consumed all of the beer and liquor that they had.

  37. Geoff, I suppose you heard that your alma mater took down the Zags tonight to win the WCC basketball title.

  38. #33: Hairston got plunked early and later was removed. Not sure of his status.

#37: Yeah, that is pretty awesome, if a bit unexpected.
