  1. That’s the spirit Clayton

  2. CY is looking very very good…

  3. Can we please get C-Y some run support?

  4. The ’69 team probably scored more than the ’06 version…

  5. 72 pitches for young …

  6. 138: Wow, you’re kind of on the other side of boston, out there a bit? Looks like it must be a beautiful area (a pennisula of sorts?). Okay, sounds like we’ll have to find a weekend game in order to meet up.

  7. 154: 200-300 runs fewer.

  8. 150: You “Zonies” just can’t stay away. LOL. How are you getting the broadcast?

  9. CY looks like he’s pitching on the road!

  10. Actually, so far this has been one of the most exciting non-exciting games I’ve ever seen.

  11. Rick … mlb extra innings … showing channel 4 SD

  12. LOL…. M.V. is certainly helping with the excitement. Making sure we don’t mistake Nissan’s logo for being “shit”.

I’d love it if CY got the first hit here.

  13. Last year Cain threw 5 1/3 innings against us, only allowing one hit, but walking 6 to go with striking out 8. This outing seems similar, except he’s not k-ing guys.

  14. Way to go CY, making him throw 7 pitches.

  15. Matty V is doing everything but throw a black cat on the field to jinx this..

  16. ohh…they’re breaking out the SF no hitter stats and graphics

    COME ON GUYS!

  17. I love C4 trying to put the whammy on the no-no early… .

  18. that darn Doc Roberts

  19. Cain will have to throw about 200 pitches to go all 9

  20. 166: You have to love that kind of effort.

  21. For a guy throwing a no-hitter, Cain looks horrible. Guys are hitting the ball hard (see OG just now), he’s walked 4 guys and hit a batter, and he’s only k-ed 2.

  22. 158 – I’m getting it on mlb.com… Actually born & raised in S.D. though. Although I’ve been here 5 years now, so guess that’d make me a Feenix native by now ;)
And that was a nice catch… dammit.

  23. 173: Yeah, Cain’s doing about as much as anyone to break up the no-hitter.

  24. cain should credit his defense for making plays more than besting our guys at the plate

  25. yep..Roberts and Visquel both made great plays in that 1/2 inning

  26. Viggo Mortenson takes over at third for San Diego.

  27. 178 – loved him in LOTR

  28. re: 171 Geoff, you have something automatically “commenting” trackbacks?

I just did a little in-game update and felt it was only right to plug where I heard the info and from whom…

  29. So, is it the San Francisco Padres or the San Diego Giants?

  30. I vote “retaliatory beaning to the knee.”

  31. Where the hell did that 2-0 pitch miss?

  32. anyone have a syring handy?

  33. Check Barry’s locker

  34. 181: I’m been trying to pull for the ” no-cal padres”…

  35. I think the Padres should walk Bonds the entire series.

  36. 183: Barry Bonds gets his own special strike zone.

  37. wow, 184 should definitely have read “syringe”…

  38. Love the up and in ball four. If you’re gonna walk him, might as well throw at the guy.

  39. 187: would be more fun just to see them hit him with the first pitch every time up

  40. 187: 4 pitches inside around the knees. Make him move those feet.

  41. And a strike to Durham first pitch following the walk to Bonds. Just like Hensley, except….except…hey, do you think Paul Emmel is watching?

  42. Don cheadle up to bat

  43. I love the PO’d look on Bonds’ face when he doesn’t get pitched to.

  44. How is that different from the normal look on his face?

  45. now is not the time for a big inning

  46. OG!! SAVED US TWO!!!

  47. What a catch!

  48. Way to go camera guy. Had me worried.
