re: 49; fair points, but first, I listed the lack of starting rotation as third on my list; second, one has to assume both are risky propositions. I believe Wolf is good, but coming off of injury, but a reasonably safe bet. Germano started very well last year and then became horrible. Hopefully not again, but some depth there would make me feel better.
I really think they are holding their cash for next year, willing to take gambits on players coming through to compete, but, if not, feel lined up for the following year.
And we are going to need it; Arizona scares me. Very good and very young.
