2008 Roster Contest Winner
Sun, Mar 30, 2008by Geoff Young
At the end of February we held a “Guess the Opening Day roster” contest. Many participated, and one emerged victorious: long-time reader Bruce K. nailed 22 of the 25 roster spots, missing only on Justin Huber (which all 20 of us missed for obvious reasons — the contest closed on March 9, and Huber didn’t join the Padres until March 26), Wil Ledezma (only one person had him on their list), and Paul McAnulty (four people had him listed).
Congratulations to Bruce! For his efforts, he will receive a copy of the Ducksnorts 2008 Baseball Annual. Thanks to all who participated, and special thanks to reader Colin, who sponsored this contest. Go Padres!
Picking up where last year's version left off, the Ducksnorts 2008 Baseball Annual provides in-depth analysis of and commentary on the San Diego Padres. Get your copy today.

If I can assemble it in a presentable manner. Here are the breakdowns by number of correct guesses:
22: 1
21: 3
20: 8
19: 4
18: 3
17: 1

I believe I had 21 and was the one person with Ledezma?
Damn Bass! He cost me the title!

Masticore trying to steal my call on Ledezma…Maybe there were two of us…I just have one question for everyone else…have you watched him pitch? His stuff is nasty…just a bit of a head case on the mound or something.

I haven’t seen Ledezma but from what I understand he’s got good stuff but just can’t throw strikes.

VERY OT: Is ESPN news playing on both ESPN and ESPN2 for anyone else? I have been trying to watch baseball all day, but no luck.
