Impromptu Playoff Meetup
Fri, Oct 7, 2005by Geoff Young
My wife and I are heading over to The Field before Saturday night’s game at Petco. If anyone wants to join us, we’ll be there about 5:30 p.m. and probably stick around till 6:30 or 7.
I don’t care what the odds are; I haven’t been to a playoff game in 20 years and I am pumped. Nothing will be able to wipe the smile off my face.
Picking up where last year's version left off, the Ducksnorts 2008 Baseball Annual provides in-depth analysis of and commentary on the San Diego Padres. Get your copy today.

The Cardinals and Padres are major league teams, right? See, I thought that, but based on how the teams are being syndicated, I’m starting to have doubts. Those of us in St. Louis who want to watch tonight’s game are going to have to wait until freakin’ 10 PM. I swear, the American League/East Coast bias sickens me. Why would a playoff game start at 10 PM?

That is a very good question. Same reason Game 1 started at 10 a.m. on a Tuesday? I think I’ve actually gotten to watch about 5 innings of this series so far.
