Right-hander Mark Prior is scheduled to undergo season-ending shoulder surgery. Bummer, but given his injury history, this was a likely outcome. Here's hoping he can find health and resume his career at some point. With the amateur draft looming, I'm thinking back to when the Twins took Joe Mauer #1 overall in 2001. Remember the fuss made because they snagged him ahead of Prior that year? Sometimes the "signability" pick turns out to be the better pick.
