  1. Canham CS’d a guy, also … seems noteworthy after what we saw of him a couple of weeks ago when Visalia stole 4 bags on him and he had a PB …

Gotta like Sogard’s results so far this season …

What’s up with Kulbacki, I wonder … perhaps he’s dinged up somewhere and a day (or 2 or 3 or …) is what’s needed … I’ve not heard anything along those lines … just seeing the (non-)results and now he’s not in today’s lineup …

  2. #1@LynchMob: The Wizards are very stacked in the outfield right now. I’m also assuming that Kulbacki will be up at Elsinore before long. He still shows up on the roster included in the free program handed out at The Diamond.

Unrelated, here are some notes on Latos’ season debut:

  3. 8k’s in 4 IP from Latos? Me likey!

  4. Any way that Sogard could handel CF? It would be great to have him pay CF and bat leadoff.

  5. #4@Steve C: Sogard doesn’t seem to have the athletic profile of a CF – but if they believe in him, maybe he pushes Antonelli back out there. Don’t hate me, Jack!

Still another far-fetched option would be playing Matt at shortstop.

  6. Well according to Keith Law he played there in college!

  7. 6. Which is assuming that Keith Law got his facts straight….oh yeah, if he makes a mistake he’ll just erase the chat as if it never took place.

I wonder if Keith believes this would be an appropriate time to bring up the imagery of Orwell’s1984?

On a postive note Sogard has ripped the ball – but to go along with a .575 slugging percentage he has 19 walks in 20 games against only 7 strikeouts. He was the guy Grady Fuson predicted to have a big year in LE.
