Antonelli in the #2 spot is different. Will Venable has been placed on the disabled list with a left shoulder strain. Veteran infielder Marshall McDougall is back with the Beavers after earlier being reassigned to San Antonio when Gerut was demoted from the big club to Portland.

Robert Woodard: 2.1 IP, 4, 3 H, 2 HR, 1 BB, 2 SO
Carvajal drew a walk; everybody drink. Woodard was credited with a hold for his efforts. There’s a rule that needs to be changed at every level… More coverage at the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette and OurSports Central.
Couple things GY – the score was 8-3.
Other interesting tid bits -
1st Pitch Temp: 42 degrees
Last out Temp: 38 degrees
The Beavers were No Hit through 8 innings. Luke Carlin mashed a home run that was a very long foul – but it seemed that the only ones that noticed were the crowd in the stands. The 1st Base Ump called it a home run – when it was clearly foul. I guess you take them where you can get them.
And Salt Lake City is a stacked ball club, there’s a reason they’re 15-1.
PMAC may have had problems in the field last night, BUT in the last 3 games he had 3 extra base hits in 11 PA vs. the rest of the team 2 in 136 PA.

#2@malcolm:
Great point.
2: Nice to point that out. And, btw, Edmonds don’t have any and he can’t field either.
Looks like the Cubs are showcasing Matt Murton. I wonder where he’ll end up.
Didi…I hope that the price comes down. He might be a nice fit for the Pads…
#1@Rain Delay: I went to the Portland Beaver game last night and a Padre game broke out! Beavers were no-no’d until the 8th inning
Here’s their first hit … a double by Brian Myrow to drive in Chase Headley …

Hey, Rain Delay, that was fun to meet up … I’ll be in touch next time I can head up that way … and hopefully it’ll be warmer … lots warmer! (but there was snow on the ground again this morning in Corvallis … bleh)
#8@LynchMob: Yeah it was a wee bit chilly last night! Yes, next time you come up lets hope it’s a bit warmer, and maybe even catch a SKV v Eugene match up at some point this summer as well. I’m only about a 10-15 minutes from Salem-Keizer.
