I’m on deadline for a THT article, so this will be brief. Just had to give some props to my Toreros for winning two out of three at #4 ranked Texas. That is cool beyond words.
Also, a few quick reminders:
- Limo to Cooperstown: Who’s with Me? — I would love to pull this off, but if it’s just my buddy and me, it ain’t happening. Let me know if you’re interested and available.
- Guess the Padres’ 2007 Opening Day Roster — No entry fee, win a Ducksnorts T-shirt.
- Our little spring training meetup is starting to take shape. Some of us have already booked rooms and bought tickets for Padres’ games over the March 23 – 25 weekend. We’re talking about getting together before games, and going out for dinner at least once — possibly to Adrian Gonzalez’ restaurant. Let me know if you want in, and I’ll add you to the mailing list.
That’s all for now. Feel free to treat this as an open thread, i.e., chat away.
Baseball America says that San Diego is a team on the rise… they project the WCC to be a 3-bid league (#19 Pepperdine, USD and USF)
but now with Jim Harbaugh gone and the USD men’s team getting trashed is this the only team people follow around the SD Area?
Also they’re going to play at Petco park for that Aztec invitational in March.
I think right now USD baseball is where it’s at here. I expect the football program to remain strong despite Harbaugh’s departure.
There is going to be another Aztecs Invitational in March?
I didn’t know that.
That would be so cool. First time, I got to know the name Jered Weaver and Cesar Ramos.

Too bad I will be skiing that weekend.
Go Torreros! This is the second year in a row they’ve started off by whupping gup on Texas. I guess it only makes sense that Torreros would know how to handle Longhorns. Ole!
whupping gup? Ouch … that sounds *nasty*!
