- Bush moving on from last year’s arrest (NC Times). Matt Bush says he’s learned a lot from last year’s experience and is more focused now than ever. The first pick overall will start 2005 at Ft. Wayne of the Midwest League.
- Peavy’s groin injury worrisome (U-T). Padres’ ace could miss home opener April 7. Justin Germano and Tim Stauffer are mentioned as possible replacements.
- Klesko continues Petco Park whine (U-T). As Bobbi Fleckman would say, “You don’t talk so much - just smile and look smart.”
- 12-time All-Star retires; has back, vision problems (ESPN). Former Padre Roberto Alomar calls it a career. Should be a lock for the HOF.
