#3@JP: .333/.375 isn't exactly a positive "presence" from a right fielder. It's only been 18 PA, though, so it's not like that matters.

Reason for encouragement ? Last year the Beavers were not really competitive. The Portland Beavers, having been red hot for about 1 month, are 29-26 and in 2nd place.

Overall, Josh Geer has done reasonably well in a hitters league and newly returned Vince Sinisi is making his presence felt.

Hi Geoff,

still reading your blog. Have to say that I really like your writings concerning the draft. It’s nice to get some “insight” to this whole proces because it’s something I’m not familiar with. Here in Europe we don’t have anything even remotely like it.

Anyways is it possible you also put the Cashner link in the Ike Davis post? I’m not trying to be a wisenose or anything just thought I’d mention it.
