Bass was just taken in this draft, the only first day pitcher IIRC. Vandel was a Georgia kid who signed in 2005 and struck out everybody, then got dinged up. He was knocked around in Ft. Wayne this season. Garramone seems like he's been around forever, he was part of the trio of draft-and-follows signed before the 2006 draft (Breit and Miller were the other two). Didn't have a big fastball when he was drafted, don't know what he throws now. Quiles was picked last year out of PR, good catch/throw guy, some power but not a lot of hitting skill. Would they send Dykstra straight to Elsinore?
