Hey, Geoff, don’t know if anyone has pointed this out, but Ducksnorts is on Rob Neyer’s new “links” on the right side of his blog. There are only about 20 team sites among the links. You are DePo are two of them.

I would think it’s between Antonelli, Inman, and Latos, with Latos having the greatest upside. Well, unless Inman becomes the new Greg Maddux.

Huffman’s 3-for-4 tonight … http://web.minorleaguebaseball.....x_sanaax_1 … so perhaps he’s back on JMAR’s #1 spot? Odd that the proverbial “small sample size” can be so hard to overlook … but that’s what I’m going to do and cast my vote for Chad … but perhaps this is a perfect example of why none of the experts ever do mid-season rankings …

Other candidates? Cedric … Inman … Garrison … Antonelli … Blanks … Sogard … Canham … Kulbacki … Cumberland … Latos … Carillo … none of them strike me as obviously one of the MLB Top 50 … perhaps not even one of the MLB Top 100 … but there’s still enough of 2008 that I’d bet that one of these guys will emerge as a Top 50 guy …

How about Dykstra? Eh … he’d only get consideration right now because there’s no obvious #1 … but if he lights up Eugene and gets a quick bump (like Khalil did), then perhaps yea …

#45@Schlom: It's gotta be Huber that goes, even if it's postponed by a DL trip by McAnulty or Hairston. McAnulty is actually hitting (or at least walking enough to be a valuable offensive player), and Hairston is the center field backup. And Huber wasn't going to start against the lefties this weekend until Hairston went down, which is a damning vote of no confidence in him.

#2@Phantom: Well said. The internet is consuming all....books, magazine, music, newspaper. Blogs are another way for the Padres to market and sell their product. I like this and the Padres should know this is like them going on the radio, except the questions are more thought out. I'm sure Sandy enjoys a good old fashioned, deep discussion on baseball.
