#15@Jefe: Updated May. 10: Padres sent LHP Glendon Rusch outright to Triple-A Portland. The Padres’ still have filled their quots for old, formerly mediocre lefties with Shawn Estes up. Rusch, who goes to make room for Sean Henn, had a 6.41 ERA in 19 2/3 innings as a reliever.

Carlin started the day game after catching Saturday night’s game because Josh Bard got an injection in his surgically repaired right wrist. Black said Bard is expected back Monday night in Chicago.
