46: Good point on Greene. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean criticism of Antonelli's fielding is wrong. I'd imagine that he's still getting used to the position if nothing else.
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

(Re: Antonelli) People said KG couldn't play D either...

Think about this, the one criticism you could have about Matt Antonelli prior to 2007, was about his power; 0 HR in the NWL.

I think he answered that.

Now think about this. In his first full year of pro ball, he helps lead his team to the AA TL championship.

BTW, #11, "If not, [the Cy Young] really helps [Peavy's] trade value, now maybe Boston will take him straight up for Coco Crisp."

Freakin' hilarious!
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

44: Talking about Barfield's defense, which aside from throwing was pretty solid.

Peavy wasn't even that bad in '06. Some bad luck (not just that, but some of it).
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

Stephen, Peavy had shoulder tendonitis in 2006, and stats were pretty out of place for him.

Anywho, it was just a matter of time for Peavy. It still amazes me how fast he ripped through the system after his year here in Fort Wayne.
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

They do give a lot of product away for free. Basically every newspapepr in the country gives away their product for free. Newspapers still haven't adjusted to the new world.
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

40: I don't understand why espn has to put their best baseball writers (all of them really) behind the paywall. I know it's only $5 a month, but that adds up when you have a subscription here and a subscription there (and you don't work). So somethings gotta be cut.

And it's not like they offer something special. At least BP is giving you PECOTA and their "exclusive" stats and baseball reference gives you loads of stats. I'd think they'd make more from the extra page clicks and advertising if there was no subscription required, but I suppose they probably know what they're doing. Still ticks me off!
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

Peavey, yeah award, Cy, thats nice, but when is Matt Holliday gonna touch home plate?

Congrats to the Alabama Slammer.

Time to lawyer up, Mr. Bonds. Another sad chapter in Bonds career.
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)
