I can’t believe the Padres couldn’t coax a walk from Kip Wells last night.
The only other start in which he didn’t walk a batter was July 3 against the D’backs.

And what’s with both Greene and Kouzmanoff swinging at first pitch after the lead-off walk to El Hombre? Those two need to be fined for their stupid approach.

Greene should never see #5 spot ever again. He should bat no higher than #7. He just seems more comfortable there.

NOG is crazy if he thinks he’ll first-pitch hack his way into second base starting job.

All three should take a lesson from Jenga on his epic AB last night. I don’t keep my hopes up for them to, though.

I can’t believe the Padres once again made a mediocre pitcher looked like an ace. This is getting way too annoying. And Maddux didn’t get another win. He must be tired about that too.

Well, the difference in this game was the Cardinals lumped most of their hits into one inning. The Padres were foolish enough to spread them out over the whole game.
