If Hairston can play 2nd, he's an upgrade. Lots of power for a 2B. He played 85 games in the majors at 2B in 2004, but hasn't played the position in MLB since. It'll be interesting to see what we do with him.

94: Thats exactly what our 40 man (and 25 man) is loaded with. Solid AAA hitters that cant do it in the big leagues, i just dont know why we even add another one.

Is Hairston going to Portland or San Diego? Anyone know?

He seems like a pretty solid hitter in AAA, but that hasn’t ever translated to real MLB success. I guess he’s a potential option at 2B, don’t see how he helps in the outfield.

OT: Anyone else hear that reebok pulled all the Vick jersey's out of stores and NFL removed all Vick items from thier online store? I feel sorry for anyone that bought this douche bag's jersey in the offseason.

88: Because, if you havent noticed, the 'pen has been sucking lately and they need the help. He is also now an option to start for CY if he has to miss a start. Hensley was great out of the pen in '05, if he can help there again, why not put him there.

88: I don't think there was any real pattern to Hensley in Portland. He wasn't doing well, but he's had success out of the pen (05 and 06) and they need innings.
