#59: Okay, I’ve watched Cameron’s attempted steal of third on replay and the umpire missed the call. Umpire was behind the bag and saw the throw beat Cammy, but didn’t see Cammy’s hand touch before Abreu applied the tag.

#129: Just saw the other Kouz knock; it was another solid line drive to left.

107: It was a fastball that Martin took for strike three. And it was probably a bit off of the plate. Martin's got to know the situation there, the umpires going to give Trevor the corners when he's going for save #500.

#107: I haven’t watched the replay yet, but I believe the final strike to Martin came on a fastball.

#130: Not really. The Mighty Ducks were busy winning the Stanley Cup; gotta believe some Dodgers fans were watching that.

Padres LHP David Wells bruised his left thumb when he was jammed in batting practice. He said he’ll be OK to make his scheduled start Saturday night against the Seattle Mariners.

… something to watch for on Saturday … I hate a hand bruise …

Anyone else concerned about the crowd of 31,541 at Petco Park? Seems light to me … even for a Wednesday night … one potential spin: not many Dodger fans expecting to see anything they want to be a part of

Just got back from the game. What a great night! The Padres did a nice job with the #500. The flare-colored flaming 500 rose out of the batter’s eye. A banner with Hoffman in his typical throwing motion was unfurled in right field, with the number 500 on it. A retrospect was shown on the screen. It was really nicely done. After the game, there were Pad Squad members with special “500″ stamps for your tickets.

Pads do go all out when a milestone is hit. I remember when Moores decided that we needed to build more of a history. Between Hoffy and Gwynn, we’re getting there.
