On a completely unrelated note...

I went to the Angels/O's game Saturday nite in Anaheim. My family eventually wants to see all of the stadiums and Angel Stadium was absolutely gorgeous. Their front entrance is one of the coolest things I've ever seen, and I really like the opening day starters engraved on the ground.

We had a great time all around. The prices were great ($8 to park is just aweomse), the food was amazing, and the people were very nice and helpful. My dad told just about every stadium attendant he ran into how much nicer Angels stadium was then Dodgers stadium. We saw Nick Markakis' ridiculous HR robbing catch (we were about 20 feet past 1B so we had a great view of the play).

But the highlight of the nite, for me and my family:

Playing first base and batting ninth for the Baltimore Orioles: Chris Freaking Gomez.
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

110 ... GY ... here's a poll idea for you ... over/under W's to win the NL West ... Lance suggests 92 ... I take OVER ... in fact, until it gets to 96, I take OVER ... ie. I think it will take at least 95 wins to win the NL West ...
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

109: I'm not thrilled with the Cumberland pick at 46. When scouts are calling you a gap-power hitter in high school, that's not a ringing endorsement. But he's a premium athlete, the kind of guy who could develop more juice. I wonder if they mock-drafted him because we're weak at SS in the system. That's not a good way to do business. But they popped two guys I wanted with their next two picks, so the order doesn't matter.

I agree with drafting Main as a pitcher instead of an OF.
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

I've been lurking, but haven't found time for posting. Time to toss my NL West predictions into the ring:

Padres 92-70
Dodgers 90-72
D-Backs 89-73
Giants 77-85
Rockies 70-92

I hope I'm right...
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)
