The thing about Bradley and his attitude is definitely a concern...but one thing to keep in mind. Rickey Henderson was considered a problem before he showed up in San Diego. Gary Sheffield was a problem in Milwaukee and had no problems here either. There are a lot of examples of guys who are trouble other places coming here and changing their ways....maybe "Jenga" will be another one of those guys.
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

It's probably already been done by some other team's fans but I'm going to stake a claim to "Connect 4" when Bradley goes deep.
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

114 ... yet another reason for Yahoo’s Jeff Passen to proclaim the Padres as “the well-established king of the buy-low move” ... which, as long as they're winning, is a beautiful thing!
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

I don't think it's been mentioned here yet, but we got cash from Oakland to help cover Bradley's $2 million remaining salary. The Padres will be on the hook for $700,000 of that, so another cheap acquisition in the monetary sense.
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

We need a nickname for Milton Bradley, preferable after one of the games the company has produced.

Choices among others: Battleship, Connect Four, Chutes & Ladders, Yahtzee.
My vote is for Jenga. One never knows when the pieces are going to fall just like MB's temperament and health. Also, we don't know if this move is going to build up the Padres or tear the whole things down, but it sure is exciting.

109, 112: Thanks, LM. I miss watching infield practices before games.
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

If I remember correctly he also hit one out into the batters eye that night. That's probably the happiest I've seen Dodgers fans in Petco.

I didn't mind the antics after the catch, thats got to be the best catch I've ever seen in person and I don't blame him for celebrating a little bit.

Additionally I think he's(and Barrett) the type of guy the Padres could use. It sometimes appears that they go a few games without taking losing too seriously.....the 1090 guys talked about this a little bit over the afternoon(one of the outside perceptions of the team)
