interesting... current closer for the Royals is a Padres rule V pickup... seems to be doing a good job (sorry, too lazy to get his name.. something like Joakim Soria or something).... wonder why he is a complete unknown to padres fans like me?

82 … more good news … since my post, McAnulty is 2-for-2 and has his average up to .245 … and Vince Sinisi hit HR #3 (now hitting .340, seems like his name was mentioned along the lines of: Padres don’t need both Cust and Sinisi … which hadn’t ocurred to me based on 2006 … but Vince seems to be doing well in the early going @ AAA this season).

76: good point about Branyan, he must not have made it back yet. If you are going to send up a left hander to PH in a one run ballgame, why not the one guy who could tie it with one swing. That guy's name is not Robles, and obviously not "World Series Hero" (TM) Geoff Blum.
