Was it…: Nicknames for the pitcher the Padres are about to trounce!!! ?

So my upstairs neighbor had a stack of baseball cards he bought recently. In there was Marcus Giles, Bard, A-Gon, Cameron, Maddux, and Hensley… and my neighbor let me keep ‘em! Pretty cool, I don’t think I’ve ever owned a baseball card.

Anyways… Marcus Giles’ card is the worst. The picture on the front is of him being taken down by a slide while trying to throw to first. So his crotchular area is right on some guy’s face. And on the back they have this “interesting” factoid about Marcus:

Marcus got the scare of his life late last season when he felt chest tightness after swallowing. Following a preliminary diagnosis that he may need heart surgery, it was determined he had acid reflux.

Felix Hernandez is on a 95 pitch count today. Hopefully this will inspire the Padres to be patient.

Not a good start to the whole making Felix work hard strategy. Guy picked off, only 13 pitches in the inning despite throwing 6 of them for balls.

I love it when other announcers go crazy when guys like Khalil and Russel K on breaking pitches.

Clearly, nobody reads the scouting reports regarding our team. As much as I love Khalil, and that’s quite a bit, I would never throw him anything but sliders down and away.

I think all the talk about how unimportant stolen bases are was all a ruse so we could throw a couple out this weekend. That has to be at least three on the weekend, which is (almost?) as many as we’ve thrown out all year….
