Mapquest says Cooperstown is about 90 minutes from Albany. Not too close. A little more than half of the trip is on interstates 90 and 88, but the rest is "backroads". I understand the good-natured pranks (although I have to think shaving cream in the eyes might burn a little or screw up your contacts --- anyone want to be the guinea pig?), but these are multi-million dollar athletes, not high school kids. Can't they find a little less abusive way to express their gratitude and jubilation? I also believe most owners would rather see Jeff Kent on a motorcycle then some of those awkward home plate celebrations.
