I think from hearing what the front office was saying about Williamson, he's done this year. I don't remember what article it was in but it didn't sound promising. He never seemed to get on track; he may have been hurt the entire time since the trade.

Seanez= very, very bad in Boston. Very, very good in San Diego. Sounds good to me! I was wondering if the Pads were going to pick him up again. What do you guys think -- no more Williamson this year?

I have no problem with Seanez coming back...he was great last year. I think he could have a good month in him still.

I heard somewhere (maybe BA?) that, in the eyes of the front office, Kottaras might have been surpassed as the top catcher in the Pads’ system. Apparently Hundley had moved in front of him.

Regardless, the guy can still hit — so you have to get more back than just Wells. I wonder if the Sox would part with Loretta — Sox are in shambles right now, and Dustin Pedroia is their 2b of the future.

Didn’t watch the game, but just saw the boxscore. … Linebrink had his first perfect inning since sometime in May, I think. Hope he keeps it up. … Roberts is hitting .312. What would have thunk it. … Roberts, Giles, A-Gon, Piazza, Branyan, Cameron, etc. That’s the best batting order I’ve seen from Bochy all season.

You’re right Nick, the Red Sox fan/SOSH attitude is ridiculous. We’re talking about a fat old pitcher who’s been good but not that good. I think if we give up Kottaras we’re going to get more back than just a fat old lefty.
