Watching that game last night–and yes, I watched the whole thing, meaning I stayed up until 230ish my time–I felt my first real wave of thorough homesickness, especially looking at all the shots of the city beyond center field and at all the progress that’s being made on the building next to Petco. No doubt I would have been at that game, booing Jorge Sosa’s every pitch and waiting for Vinny to make an appearance so I could boo him just for old-time sake. I’ll be happy when this series is over b/c it means no more west coast for the Braves which equals no more absurdly late nights for me. Off to put together baby furniture…

By the way, Josh Bard is awesome. That double he hit to tie the score was a thing of beauty.

Really tough loss last night. Great game — hopefully they can bounce back today.

The game was on TBS, and I was up for most of it feeding my kids (and giving them their first exposure to the Pads!)

I guess the moral of last night’s game is that if you get behind enough times, you’re going to lose.

Also, say what you want about the Braves, but they can definitely hit. The Pads should have been able to pull it out against Sosa — he was terrible.

Barfield kicks a potential inning-ending double play. I'm not sure they could've turned two, but even one would've been nice.

This is epic. Runners at the corners, nobody out. Gonzalez has already hit two bombs, Atlanta has nobody warming up in the bullpen. Hensley is warming up for the Pads if needed.
