Hello, anyone here? I think we may all be at the game tonight. Well, if you’re not, feel free to hang out and do the IGD thang. Put the whammy on the Giants while you’re at it. Gotta beat those guys. Gotta beat everyone. All the way, baby!

I’m here…I can’t believe that the game isn’t on tv tonight on the extra innings package.. I think it’s been a week since I’ve seen a Padres game.

well..even though I’m here talking to myself….Vinny just drove in 2 runs with a single… no really..he did…

ouch. you’re not talking to yourself though. I’m here. but also news today: Paul DePodesta hired as a special consultant to the Padres. Mean anything that there were stories 2 weeks ago saying how he loves being out of baseball and building houses and now he’s back in the game?

I’m here …. checking the score before I go to bed. CHP wins the silver slugger award for pitchers so far this year — .345

Jonathan Sanchez looks like a nice find for the Giants.

Does anybody here know why or possibly explain why Park PH yesterday when Blum was available? I didn’t hear anything about Blum being hurt but I wasn’t listening to the game.

protect against injury? just like most teams won’t use their backup catcher in an extra inning game unless they absolutely have to

that’s a real smart play by Gonzalez right there.

yea fastball bad call for Accardo but nice win for the Pizza feed too.
You could see Greene on the tv screen saying “c’mon” under his breath as they set up inside.

It read like a great win for the Padres tonight….wish I could’ve seen it.

Dodgers 10th rounder Andy D’Alessio out of Clemson has decided to stay in school for his senior season.. ( http://www.independentmail.com.....98,00.html ) maybe follows like some other Clemson infielder who wanted to imrpove his stock as a Senior. (that guy on hte Padres who had the game winning hit tonight).
Greene (Jr) 14th Rd Cubs .303/.403/.544 12HR 52 RBI 55R
D’Alessio (Jr) 10th Rd Dodgers .312/.380/.648 23HR 85 RBI 55R
kind of comprable. D’Alessio will be one probably to talk about next year (he’ll likely become Clemson’s new HR record holder) as well as probably be a sure bet as a signability pick with a good year. Even though he plays first, he is also like Khalil in college because he had two high avg years progressing followed by a dropoff in Jr year (.333 in 05, .312 in 06) and Greene hit a freakish .470/.552/.877 his senior year. Maybe that improvement isn’t expected but it could happen.
