Magadan might even have a more aggressive philosophy. They also had similar major league hitting numbers. I wouldn't blame Merv for not fixing Rivera; Oglivie couldn't either. No one could. Merv's a major league hitting coach, not a brain transplant surgeon. I wouldn’t blame Merv for not fixing Rivera; Oglivie couldn’t either. No one could. Merv’s a major league hitting coach, not a brain transplant surgeon.
