Lynch...couldn't resist a Cirillo dig over at San Diego Spotlight...although he is not the Brewer really asking for ridicule...

Here's an interesting note from the daily email I get from the Portland Beavers ...

Big insurance run last night: Jack Cust's sacrifice fly in the top of the 11th inning last night not only gave the Beavers an insurance run in their 7-5 win, but it made a major impact on the first two games of the homestand. By Padres organizational rule, any reliever who works three consecutive days must rest the next two. Closer Jon Adkins earned saves on Saturday and Sunday at Grizzlies Stadium, and he would have taken the mound in the bottom of the 11th if Portland had held just a one-run lead -- meaning he would be unavailable tonight and tomorrow night. Cust's scoring fly ball gave Portland a two-run lead, and sidearmer Cla Meredith came out of the 'pen and earned his first save for the Beavs.

Neil Jamison's already had one promotion this season (from Ft Wayne to Lake Elsinore) ... perhaps another isn't far behind ... http://tinyurl.com/qh3xc ... 17 K's in 13.2 IP, resulting in 9 Saves ...

Portland Beavers get 1 hit tonight ... luckily it was a HR by Manny Alexander and it was good enough for a 1-0 win! http://tinyurl.com/s7kjg ... Mike Thompson had another good start (but I never hear his name in the context of being a "prospect") ... and Jon Adkins has 7 saves to go with his 11 scoreless IPs ... go Beavs!

Not tonight. Bummer to lose. I had a very sick feeling when Coskie took two pretty good looking change ups that just missed, forcing a fastball to that he hammered. Lee is just good; the change he hit was at his feet. Colorado lost, but it is a bit of buzzkill to lose. Kind of reminds you what an anemic line up looks like, but let's hope they get back on the horse tomorrow.

Normally not a fan of the sac, but Barfield not getting down the sac in 9th really hurt. Who knows, but AGon's DP might have been through if the infield was not at DP depth.

A 10th inning rally?
