Weekend Wrapup

Well, the Pads ended up taking two out of three in Atlanta. Perhaps more importantly, the offense showed signs of life for the first time in a long while.

If you weren’t around this weekend, here’s what you missed:

We also took a look at how things are shaping up over at third base since the arrival of Joe Randa.

Next Up, Astros

Here are your matchups. Get to the Tuesday night game if possible. Or Wednesday if you want to see some offense.

Caps and Tees

Just a reminder that we’ve got Ducksnorts caps and T-shirts available over at the store. Because, hey, you gotta wear something.

As much as I dig the Ducksnorts gear, I’ll admit I’m saving my money for a “Free Xavier” t-shirt from the guys over at Gaslamp Ball.

Adam Eaton made his third Minor League rehab start on Saturday for Triple-A Portland, going four innings and throwing 75 pitches. Bochy said he’d meet with the staff and decide when to reserve a start for Eaton, his first since he strained a tendon in his right middle finger on June 15 in Detroit.

“He threw six or seven curveballs and felt fine, no problems with him,” Bochy reported. “We want to make sure he’s good to go, where we don’t need to be concerned with a pitch count. The second thing is we have to find the slot he’s going to go in.”
