Well, the Pads ended up taking two out of three in Atlanta. Perhaps more importantly, the offense showed signs of life for the first time in a long while.

As much as I dig the Ducksnorts gear, I’ll admit I’m saving my money for a “Free Xavier” t-shirt from the guys over at Gaslamp Ball.

Adam Eaton made his third Minor League rehab start on Saturday for Triple-A Portland, going four innings and throwing 75 pitches. Bochy said he’d meet with the staff and decide when to reserve a start for Eaton, his first since he strained a tendon in his right middle finger on June 15 in Detroit.
“He threw six or seven curveballs and felt fine, no problems with him,” Bochy reported. “We want to make sure he’s good to go, where we don’t need to be concerned with a pitch count. The second thing is we have to find the slot he’s going to go in.”
