I don’t like to pull this too often, but if you’re not into reading about the way things were when dinosaurs ruled the earth, here are some links to articles you may find interesting. Feel free to provide your own commentary on these or anything else.
- Padres’ Alderson comfortable in many caps (USA Today)
- Six men in as Eaton joins rotation (NC Times)
- Sometimes even Linebrink is tired (U-T)
- Hoffman taps history on shoulder (U-T)
- 425 special to bullpen catcher, too (U-T)
- Conversation with Chris Oxspring (via PDX Beavers)
- Coming from Down Under (At the Yard)
Picking up where last year's version left off, the Ducksnorts 2008 Baseball Annual provides in-depth analysis of and commentary on the San Diego Padres. Get your copy today.

Hmmm, I kinda like the idea of a 6-man rotation … that seems like a good way to prevent wear-down headed in to the playoffs!
re: CIW (Closer In Waiting) … Cassidy @ Portland looked pretty good when I saw him pitch a few weeks ago … but he hasn’t pitched lately, perhaps he’s hurt …
FYI, Burroughs with HR #2 at Portland … off Scott Erickson … http://www.minorleaguebaseball.....a_poraaa_1
THANKS for the inputs on Chan Ho’s name yesterday … I wish “we” (ie. Americans) would make a better effort at names … and I wish “they” wouldn’t cater to our laziness (ex. by “fixing” it) … eh, it’s not obvious is it …
