The notion of PHing Roberts for Nady would NEVER occur to me. Perhaps that’s an argument that I am unable to make use of my entire roter (if I’m the manager).
Then again, the only place for Roberts on MY roster would be fifth outfielder/pinch runner.
I suppose I’ve made this abundantly clear by now. Sorry.

I also think that Bochy might have outsmarted himself by not starting Klesko against Claussen. Klesko has been swinging a hot bat, and so far this season lefties had been hitting Claussen better than righties. I don't know whether Klesko vs Ojeda would have changed things, but it seems like the Hernandez, Nady, Ojeda trio was ineffective. Any of them put good wood on the ball?

I see that my absence didn't help things. Hopefully tonight's offensive (pun intended) performance is a blip on their recent road of recovery and that they swing the bats better against Paul Wilson. I am looking forward to seeing Stauffer pitch.

I agree that Nady/Klesko would have been better than Roberts/Jackson … but once you’ve done Roberts and gotten to Jackson, it seemed OK to me to let him hit … ie. play the hot hand … he was put in the lead-off spot for a reason … he did already have 2 hits …

Eh, this is sounding like I’m trying to argue that 2 (or 3 or 4 or …) wrongs make a right … it’s a weak argument, I know …

We’re agree’d that having Roberts PH for Nady was a mistake … and not getting Klesko (assuming he’s healthy) was a mistake …
