I went to Friday night's game at Phoenix Municipal and the Padres looked solid. I was glad to see most of the expected opening day starters in the game. Williams looked in mid-season form and really had the A's guessing. Meanwhile the Pads handled Zito easily. I'm not sure what Barry was doing but he looked awful out there. His curveball wasn't working and he even made an error on the mound. There was a huge crowd at the game because it was a night game, and I was happy to see a lot of Padres fans.
